Pay : $60,000 - $100,000 + Commission (DOE)

Originally founded in 1949, ASC has been serving the metal-forming industry exclusively as a machinery engineering and manufacturing company for over 70 years. ASC specializes in rollforming machinery, tooling, and associated equipment utilized for metal processing. ASC is a vertically integrated machinery design and manufacturing company. ASC performs virtually all steps of the manufacturing process. Its primary business is providing equipment for the steel construction industry and the two-piece food and beverage can industry. Leaders in the steel construction industry demand ASC machines. Industries using ASC machines include pre-engineered buildings, metal building components, steel decking, structural beams and grain bin manufacturers. ASC supplies metal-forming equipment to other industries such as lighting, garage door, stamping, heating and air-conditioning.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Assist the Company in reaching its sales targets through contact with customer and potential customers, explaining ASC products and services, and closing sales to customers for these products and services. Complete all required documentation completely, accurately and promptly.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position will report directly to the President & CEO. This position does not supervise other employees.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet and beat sales quotas on a monthly basis.
Delivery commitments to customers match Company policy and expectations.
Complete required specification work completely, accurately and on time.
Maintain expenses within budget.
Administrative reporting done accurately and on time.
Frequently required to use the phone, fax, copy machine, and computers.
Identify customer needs
Achieve and Maintain excellent product knowledge
Present new and existing products to customers
Give clients prompt information regarding production status, field service logistics, and warranty resolution
Deliver all documentation and address customers specific concerns or questions
Be a dedicated point of contact who acts as a liaison between internal departments and customers to gather accurate specifications and updates

Qualifications

Related Bachelor’s Degree in Business or in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
Must have strong interpersonal communication and analytical skills.
Must be able to work independently and work well with others.
Able to develop and manage short term and long term plans to reach business goals and objectives.
Able to negotiate contract conditions
Must be able to stand, sit, and walk.
Must have use of hands, arms, eyes, ears and voice.
Must be able to fly and drive to customer sites.
Must be able to read and understand contract documents, drawings, plans, blueprints and specifications,
Able to respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from customers or potential customers.
Must know and understand terminology related to the metal manufacturing and job-shop environment.
Must be computer literate, and have a basic understanding of software such as MS Word and MS Excel.
Product knowledge of rollforming and coil handling equipment
Ability to concisely report travel expenses
Sales experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This person will spend time in both office and manufacturing environments. Considerable time will be spent at customer offices and sites; sometimes in Europe, Asia or South America.
