Full Job Description

Furnace Operator – Aluminum Manufacturing / Foundry

Pro Performance Wheels is building the initial production team for our new aluminum wheel manufacturing operation. We are seeking an experienced Furnace Operator with hands-on experience in industrial furnaces, foundry operations, molten-metal processing, or aluminum manufacturing.

In this role, you will safely operate and monitor aluminum melting furnace systems while supporting a consistent, high-quality wheel casting process. This position is well suited for someone who is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, dependable, and attentive to operating conditions.

About Us

Our parent company has been in business for more than 25 years and is launching Pro Performance Wheels, a new aluminum wheel manufacturing operation. We are building our founding production team and looking for experienced manufacturing professionals who take pride in quality work, value teamwork, and want to grow with us from the beginning.

What You’ll Do

As a Furnace Operator, you will operate and monitor aluminum melting furnace systems that support the casting process.

Key responsibilities include:

Operating and monitoring aluminum melting furnaces and related equipment
Managing furnace preheating, charging, skimming, temperature control, and molten-metal handling
Monitoring furnace conditions and making appropriate operating adjustments
Maintaining a consistent supply of molten aluminum to support production
Following all established safety procedures and required PPE standards
Operating mobile equipment, including forklifts, as part of furnace operations; training is provided as needed
Supporting routine equipment upkeep and promptly reporting maintenance or operational concerns
Accurately recording temperatures, production information, and operating data
Working collaboratively with production, lab, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams

Required Qualifications

Minimum of one year of furnace operation, casting, foundry, molten-metal, aluminum manufacturing, metals manufacturing, or closely related experience
Experience as a Furnace Operator, Melting Furnace Operator, Foundry Furnace Operator, Metal Furnace Operator, or in a comparable molten-metal manufacturing role strongly preferred
Aluminum furnace or aluminum foundry experience preferred
Two or more years of relevant experience strongly preferred
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around heat, molten aluminum, and industrial equipment
Basic math and measurement skills
Ability to follow established safety procedures and PPE requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Ability and willingness to work overtime as production needs require

Schedule and Work Environment

Full-time
Monday through Thursday, four 10-hour shifts
Fridays typically off, with overtime scheduled as production needs require
Industrial manufacturing environment involving heat, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and required PPE
