Hotel Front Desk Agent

Full time position including nights, weekends (both Saturday and Sunday), and holidays.

Compensation is based on experience.

We are located 1 block from the downtown waterfront, across from the New England Aquarium.

Local resident or T commuter is a plus, we do not have parking.

Easy access from all MBTA subway lines.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team.

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience during their stay.

If you have excellent communication skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for hospitality, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor
Check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently and accurately while following company policies.
Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a timely manner
Manage online and phone reservations
Tag and store guest luggage
Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
Handle guest requests and resolve any issues or complaints promptly
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction
Use toilet plunger, change lightbulbs and trouble shoot maintenance issues when necessary
Uphold hotel policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests

Requirements:

Previous experience in front desk or customer service role preferred - Knowledge of phone systems and computer skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
This position requires you to be on your feet, moving around and taking a hands-on approach to work
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge of hotel operations or hospitality management is desirable
Must be hardworking, responsible, dependable, and willing to go the extra mile
