As a Café Assistant, you’ll prepare and serve fresh food and beverages, assist customers, support catering events, and help maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting and takes pride in providing outstanding service. THE BASICS:
- Pay: $15.00
- Schedule: 6am to 2:30pm
- Location: Ephrata, PA
WHAT YOU DO:
- Prepare and serve fresh food, coffee, and beverages while delivering outstanding customer service
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process customer transactions
- Stock and replenish café coolers, condiment stations, salad bar, produce market, and beverage displays throughout day
- Prepare lunch offerings and assist with daily food preparation as scheduled
- Support in-house catering events by preparing, setting up, serving, and cleaning up food and beverage service
- Receive, organize, rotate and properly store food and beverage service
- Assist with unloading deliveries and putting away inventory in designated storage areas
- Set up café displays and morning service areas to ensure a welcoming environment for guests
- Complete daily opening and closing duties to maintain smooth café operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment by following all sanitation and food safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with the café team while cross-training in multiple areas to support daily
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Previous food service, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience strongly preferred
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to safely lift and move food products and supplies (up to 40lbs.) and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Willingness to learn all aspects of café operations through cross-training
- ServSafe Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification after hire
- Reliable attendance and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming café for all associates
