Full Job Description

Inpatient Physician Associates takes pride in managing patients through the continuum of care™.

Inpatient Physician Associates (IPA) was founded in 1999 by a group of physicians dedicated to providing Hospitalist coverage across acute and post-acute settings in North Texas. Since then, Inpatient Physician Associates has grown to nearly 95 affiliated providers practicing in multiple locations across Texas and Pennsylvania.

We have a dedicated clinical team of Physicians, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Transitional Care Coordinators. Our clinical team is managed by experienced Board-Certified Medical Directors. Inpatient Physician Associates is driven by four core values of Honesty, Integrity, Caring and Stewardship.

The Role

This is a full-time Nocturnist APP role in Wyomissing Pennsylvania area. The APP selected will provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnosis, plans and prescribing treatments and managing health care regimens in collaboration with the designated physician(s) in an inpatient environment. The ideal candidate will be a flexible, patient-oriented team player.

A Brief Snapshot of Your Duties

· Obtain health histories, conduct physical examinations, provide daily patient care, patient/family education and discharge of patients from facility; patients can range from adolescents to geriatrics

· Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory tests

· Prescribe or recommend pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications

· Consult appropriate physician(s) for patient care needs

· Refer patients to appropriate sources of care as indicated

· Assure the efficient utilization of resources while supporting clinical pathway implementation and compliance

· Submits billing in a timely manner for all encounters

· Willing to work three 12-hour shifts per week- 7p-7a.

· Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

· An unwavering commitment to excellent, top-notch patient care

· Ability to diagnose and actively manage patient conditions, including evaluation and treatment

· Completion of a baccalaureate nursing program and Master's Degree in an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program

· Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania if an NP

· Eligible for prescriptive authority in the State of Pennsylvania
