INDIAN PREFERENCE in hiring is given to Greenville Rancheria Tribal Members, and qualified American Indians in accordance with the Indian Preference Act, Title 25, and U.S. Code Sections 472 & 473.

Mission Statement:

The mission at the Greenville Rancheria is to provide high quality direct care to Native Americans, their families, and all community members. The mission of the Greenville Rancheria is to continue as a functional viable Tribal government in perpetuity, providing services to its membership and their families through the creation of wealth and personal growth by maximizing Tribal assets, both material and human.

POSITION: Medical Administrative Assistant to the Chief Medical Officer

**MUST HAVE CURRENT STATE ISSUED CMA CERTIFICATION**

POSITION OUTLINE:

Physical requirements: An eligible candidate must possess the ability:

Sit for extended periods of time.
Be able to sustain prolonged standing, bending, stooping and light lifting without pain. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Use full range of sense of hearing, speech, and vision
Display manual dexterity as applicable to position.
Pass all employment physical/medical examinations.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain a positive, pro-active, and professional demeanor with fellow employees.
Work under pressure in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Make sound decisions and take responsibility.
Maintain good attendance and be punctual.
Be task oriented in all work activities, while meeting deadlines.
Read and adhere to policies and procedures.
Agree to and sign a conflict-of-interest form and agree to not disclose any trade secrets, directly or indirectly, or use them in any way, either during the term of employment or at any time thereafter, except as required in the course of employment with Greenville Rancheria.
Always maintain a high-level of employee, confidentiality.
Computer skills, such as NextGen, i2i, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Outlook, etc.
Must be able to use office equipment including fax, multi-line telephone and copy machine.
Is able to understand, be sensitive to, communicate with, and has knowledge/awareness of the culture of the Indian community to be served.
Display a high level of attention to detail.

General Qualifications:

An Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree (preferred).
Be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
Worked in the Administrative field for at least 5 years.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, computer security periodicals, and governmental regulations.
Reliable employment history.
Demonstrate competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Acute attention to detail.
Strong documentation skills, and advanced organizational skills.
Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Requires discretion, confidentiality, resourcefulness, and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature.
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
Current CPR Certification.
This position requires an awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs and the ability at all-times to meet and deal effectively in contact with Indian Health organizations which require tact, courtesy, discretions, resourcefulness, and good judgement in handling functions of a sensitive nature.
Must demonstrate intercultural knowledge working with intertribal Native American people, culture, traditions, customs, and beliefs.

Experience:

3-5 years administrative experience (Required)
2-3 years medical experience and knowledge (Required)
Must have current state issued certified medical assisting certification (Required)
