Location: In office in Hastings location preferred. Possibility to office out of remaining 11 available branch locations: Owatonna, Farmington, Faribault, Albertville, Monticello, Bloomington, Northfield, and Rochester area.
JOB SUMMARY
The ACH Operations Specialist supports the daily ACH processing activities of Premier Bank Minnesota as an Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI). This position is responsible for processing ACH transactions, supporting ACH Originators and internal staff, maintaining operational documentation, assisting with audits and compliance activities, and delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring accuracy and adherence to ACH regulations and Bank policies.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Customer Service
- Assist ACH Originators with ACH batch creation, reversals, and ACH-related communications.
- Communicate effectively with ACH Originators via email and telephone regarding confirmations, operational requests, regulatory questions, and ACH-related matters.
- Respond to inquiries from ACH Originators, financial institutions, and internal Bank personnel regarding ACH Operations.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of the Bank's digital banking platform and related systems used in ACH origination and processing.
- Communicate effectively with FIS and other vendors to resolve ACH processing issues, operational exceptions, and system-related errors.
- Provide timely and professional customer support while maintaining a high level of service.
Administrative
- Assist the ACH Team Lead, VP, and Cash Management Department in maintaining ACH Origination agreements, reporting, tracking, monitoring, and auditing activities.
- Assist the ACH Team Lead and VP in preparing documentation and supporting internal and external audits.
- Assist in issuing, tracking, collecting, and maintaining ACH Agreements between Premier Bank Minnesota and ACH Originators.
- Complete assigned responsibilities in a timely, accurate, detail-oriented, and professional manner.
- Maintain ACH Operations reports, billing records, and supporting documentation.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Monitor and prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of daily responsibilities and audit preparation activities.
- Complete assigned projects and meet established deadlines.
- Complete all required UMACHA, NACHA, Bank-assigned training, and assessments.
- Promote Premier Bank Minnesota products and services when appropriate to customer needs.
- Comply with all applicable federal and state regulations, NACHA Operating Rules, and Bank policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding customer, employee, and Bank information.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Working knowledge of digital banking platforms and related banking technology systems, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Working knowledge of ACH Network rules, regulations, and operational procedures, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business software.
- Strong customer service skills demonstrated through phone, email, and written communications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Preferred
- Previous banking, financial services, operations, or customer service experience.
- Associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification preferred but not required.
