ABOUT HEGARTY CONSULTING GROUP

Hegarty Consulting Group (HCG) is a family-owned Twin Cities benefits consulting firm that has been helping Minnesota small businesses navigate employee benefits and retirement plans since 2000. We build holistic strategies alongside our clients and act as a true business partner from day one through every renewal cycle. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Account Manager role is the operational backbone to HCG's sales process. In this role, you will ensure our clients are treated well by fully supporting our consulting team from first quote through final enrollment, coordinating accurate proposals, building client-ready presentations, and owning the onboarding process end to end. Our clients matter, and your customer service approach will help us continue our partnership approach. This is a detail-forward, process-driven role for someone who takes pride in accuracy, thrives in a collaborative environment and understands that white-glove client service starts behind the scenes. This position is a part-time, flexible role for an experienced benefits account manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative and CRM Management:

-Maintain CRM records, tasks, and activity tracking in real time

-Maintain internal systems and records to support the consulting team

Quoting and Proposal Preparation:

-Coordinate internal and external quoting processes.

-Prepare proposals and presentation materials using Perfect Quote and related tool

Onboarding and Enrollment:

- Manage the full benefit administration intake process, including OCI, onboarding documents, and carrier submissions.

-Ensure sold plans and enrollments are onboarded accurately and on schedule

Operational Quality Control:

- Review proposals for completeness and accuracy before they reach agents or clients

- Conduct benefit administration system reviews

- Perform enrollment reconciliation

- Support proposal review and ensure timelines meet internal standards

QUALIFICATIONS

3 to 5 years of employee benefits experience, preferably in a brokerage or consulting environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Highly organized with a consistent, task-driven approach and reliable follow-through

Preferred:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
3-5 years of experience with quoting platforms and benefits administration systems (Perfect Quote or similar)
Familiarity with private PFML plans
Active Life and Health license, or ability to obtain within 90 days
