Location: In office in Hastings, MN location preferred. Possibility to office out of remaining 11 PB Minnesota branch locations: Owatonna, Farmington, Faribault, Albertville, Monticello, Bloomington, Northfield, and Rochester area.
JOB SUMMARY
The ACH and Deposit Operations Team Lead provide operational leadership and subject matter expertise for ACH and Deposit Operations activities. This position supports the Bank's responsibilities as an ODFI and RDFI, coordinates daily workflows, provides training and guidance to staff, supports audits and compliance initiatives, and partners with leadership to ensure operational efficiency, risk management, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Execute and support the daily ACH and Deposit Operations functions of Premier Bank Minnesota as an Originating and Receiving Depository Financial Institution.
- Lead the development, implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of ACH and Deposit Operations training programs and materials for staff and ACH Originators.
- Produce, analyze, and distribute operational reports and data while maintaining a thorough understanding of Bank systems, processes, and equipment.
- Assist the VP in the development, maintenance, and administration of ACH and Deposit Operations procedures and manuals.
- Partner with the VP to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, NACHA Operating Rules, Bank policies, and industry best practices.
- Foster a productive, collaborative, and positive work environment.
- Provide operational support and coverage during staff absences by assuming or coordinating necessary duties.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for ACH operations, payments systems, and related regulatory requirements.

The Lead ACH & Deposit Operations Specialist must demonstrate a high level of professional judgment, leadership, accuracy, and accountability while maintaining a thorough understanding of ACH and U.S. payment network operations.

- Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, NACHA Operating Rules, Bank policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate effective time management, organization, and leadership skills.
- Share knowledge and provide education to colleagues regarding operational requirements and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding customer, employee, and Bank information.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of ACH Network rules, regulations, risk management practices, and exception processing requirements.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payments systems, including ACH, check processing, and related operational procedures.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, digital banking platforms, records management systems, and core processing systems.
- Ability to identify operational risks and implement appropriate controls.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound business decisions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in ACH Operations, Deposit Operations, Treasury Management, Payments Operations, or related banking functions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ACH processing, regulations, and operational procedures.
- We welcome candidates who are not currently AAP-certified but have a strong interest in payments, ACH operations, and professional development. Successful candidates without the credential will be required to obtain AAP certification within 24 months of hire.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience providing work direction, coaching, training, or leadership within a banking operations environment.
- Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification preferred.
- Additional banking operations, payments, or compliance-related certifications.
