DOCKHAND
SUMMARY
Silverthorn Resort is currently seeking a quality conscious Dockhand with a high work ethic. Must be honest reliable, and have a neat, clean appearance. Boat driving experience a plus!!
Ensures that all houseboats and related rental equipment are prepared and ready in accordance with the procedures of the resort.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of current or previous Customer Service training or related experience
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepares houseboats and small boats for guest’s arrivals in a quick, neat, and efficient manner
- Completes duties such as pressure washing, septic pump out, hot tub cleaning, BBQ cleaning, filling propane and fuel tanks on vessels
- Maintains the proper inventory of items such as: life jackets, distress flags, and throw cushions, etc. for vessels
- Follows checklists to ensure completion of scheduled tasks within the allotted time
- Maintains service cage by stocking and organizing supplies to perform job
- Performs all functions of customer service
- Performs other duties or support to co-workers as the pressures dictate
- Maintains a friendly and approachable attitude towards all guests and co-workers
- Maintains a clean and professional appearance and adheres to company uniform policies
- Maintains proper OSHA labeling procedures of all cleaning chemicals
- Adheres to chemical warning labels in the proper use of the chemical, utilization of personal safety equipment, chemical dilution and disposal
- Respects all resort equipment and property and use with care to avoid unnecessary damage
- Documents any deficiencies, including mechanical and electrical problems of the
houseboats, and reporting of such items to the Rentals Supervisor
- Labels and submits all lost and found items to the Reservations Office immediately
- Conducts self in a professional manner at all times while on the resort grounds
- Performs all required tasks within established safety practices and procedure guidelines
- Completion of all duties as assigned

Experience Shasta Lake’s premier vacation destination as a member of the Silverthorn Inc. Team. EOE. Pre-Employment drug screening required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
It is a physically strenuous and demanding job. You will be lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects. You will have to work in all weather and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold.
SENSORY DEMANDS
You will be exposed to unpleasant sights and smells. You may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances. You must take necessary precautions to protect your eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infection.

Pay: $16.90 - $18.00 per hour
