- Part-time, approximately 10–15 hours per week based on program needs
- Monday through Friday
- Year-round position
- Occasional weekend availability required, although weekend assignments are rare
- Travel to program sites throughout Shasta and Tehama counties is required
Position Summary
Girls Inc. of the Northern Sacramento Valley is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Learning Facilitator to deliver educational and empowerment programming to girls throughout Shasta and Tehama counties.
The Learning Facilitator creates welcoming, inclusive, and engaging learning environments where participants can develop the skills and confidence to grow up strong, smart, and bold. Working collaboratively with the Programs Manager, other Learning Facilitators, and organizational leadership, this position helps plan, deliver, evaluate, and strengthen Girls Inc. programs.
The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young people, comfortable facilitating groups, organized, reliable, and committed to helping every participant recognize her value and potential.
Essential Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other Learning Facilitators, the Programs Manager, and the Executive Director to plan and deliver Girls Inc. programming.
- Facilitate educational and Girls Inc. curriculum-based programs for groups of students at school and community sites.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of in-school programs, workshops, outdoor activities, STEM events, summer programs, and other special activities.
- Create an inclusive, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment that encourages participation.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, participant information, and other required data using the organization’s tracking software.
- Administer program surveys and assist with collecting information used to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Communicate program-related concerns, needs, trends, and unusual situations to the Programs Manager.
- Help coordinate guest speakers, field trips, and parent or caregiver involvement in program activities with Program Manager approval.
- Provide coverage for other Learning Facilitators when needed.
- Perform other program-related duties as assigned.

- Basic computer proficiency. Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Google Workspace, Zoom, and other online program-delivery platforms is preferred.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Associate degree with an emphasis in early childhood education, education, child development, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with youth ages 5–18 required. Qualifying experience may include employment, youth supervision, community programs, volunteer service, or internships.
- Experience facilitating groups or delivering youth programs is preferred.

- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to program locations throughout Shasta and Tehama counties
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
