SUPERVISES: All Mini-Mart team members
JOB SUMMARY: This team member is the on-site manager of the Mini-Mart/Gas Station/Car Wash. This person manages all functions of the business including personnel, hiring, firing, discipline, workers compensation, safety, etc. This person is responsible for all store policies, plans and budgets to ensure the business achieves or exceeds projected sales and profitability
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Successfully manages store operations through effective management, scheduling and assigning of team members and following up to ensure expected results are accomplished

Maintains a store staff dedicated to the high quality and guest service of the store by recruiting, selecting and training team members

Accomplishes store financial performance by planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, including coaching, counseling and disciplining team members as necessary
-
Achieves financial performance by preparing an annual budget and making revenues and conducting expenditures within budget, analyzing variances, and taking corrective actions to maintain or exceed budgeted performance
-
Identifies current and future guest requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual guests and other persons in a position to understand the buying demands of guests
-
Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts and maintaining inventories
-
Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities, implementing targeted sales promotions, authorizing clearance sales, and having a thorough understanding of trends
-
Markets merchandise within the community to increase market share and store revenues by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; and analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios

Ensures the security of merchandise by implementing security systems and measures, including coordination with local authorities, Win-River Resort & Casino Security, and Redding Rancheria Tribal offices

Protects team members and guests by providing a safe and clean store environment

Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal and regulatory requirements

Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

Maintains high standards of store operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures
Ensures store success by taking initiative and contributing to a team effort with team members -
Makes orders, conducts bank deposits, and records financial transaction information

Resolves guest complaints in a timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction

Controls labor hours, cash, and store audits inventory shrinkage

Actively negotiates preferred cost of store goods to maximize margins

Create and execute SOPs for all of the above

Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Redding Rancheria Economic Development Corp.

Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Redding Rancheria Economic Development Corp. guest service program

Other duties as assigned by RREDCO President
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma, or equivalent, is required

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Management preferred
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of three (3) years of leadership or store management experience in a convenience store or similar environment required

Must have a positive record of accomplishment managing multiple team members

Must have superior customer service skills

Must be proficient in the use of computer software programs, to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Demonstrated typing skills, 10-key by touch and the ability to operate office equipment

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication/interpersonal skills

Must be capable of interfacing with manager and staff, outside vendors, and service providers

Ability to track budget expenses, pricing, vendor relationships, and have knowledge of the market served

Ability, willingness and comfort to engage with guests and team members is required

Ability to develop positive relationships with internal and external guests is required

Ability to act independently to anticipate potential issues, problem solve, investigate, seek out and utilize resources to work toward a positive resolution that considers the best interest of the store, team members, guests and the Redding Rancheria Tribe

Strong desire to exceed performance targets and inspire excellence in a team is required

Ability to problem solve and work with minimal supervision is required

Must be able to provide a written weekly summary report of business activity

High-energy, collaborative management experience is required

Professional appearance and demeanor is required

Must be able to work any area of the store (both inside and out) when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register

Must manage a number of projects at one time and handle frequent interruptions to meet the needs and requests of guests
