Quality Control Technician

Company Overview:

Precast Unlimited Inc. is a leading provider of high quality precast concrete products, committed to delivering excellence in every project we undertake. As part of our dedication to quality assurance, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team.

Position Overview:

As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our concrete and aggregate materials. You will be responsible for conducting thorough testing procedures, maintaining equipment, and adhering to industry standards and regulations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions ranging from hot to cold. Join our team and contribute to the success of our projects in a challenging yet rewarding setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Sample and test concrete for every project cast, exceeding minimum requirements.

Perform daily moisture and weekly fineness modulus testing on aggregate staples.

Conduct specific gravity and sand equivalency testing using proper equipment.

Maintain and calibrate testing equipment according to PCI, ACI, and NPCA guidelines.

Generate calibration reports and organize them in accordance with company QC-SOP’s.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with quality control standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.

Basic computer skills including excel and word.

Basic construction math skills.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs without accommodation.

Clean driving record and Class C driver's license.

Ability to pass drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level 1 certification.

Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1 certification.

Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification.

Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician Level 1 certification.

Additional Qualifications:

NPCA PQS Level 1 Quality Control Certification.

ACI Self-Consolidating Concrete Testing Technician certification.

Laboratory Testing Technician Level 2 certification.

Aggregate Testing Technician Level 2 certification.

PCI Level I Quality Control Technician/Inspector Certification

Previous experience in quality control or materials testing.

Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
