Full Job Description

First Pacific Financial is a small, well-established Mortgage Broker specializing in manufactured and mobile home financing throughout California. We help families achieve homeownership, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Mortgage experience is not required. Our lending niche is specialized, and we are willing to train the right person on our products, lenders, systems, and procedures.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with computers, and capable of learning and following detailed processes. We value the person who can recognize when something doesn't look right, ask questions when needed, and take pride in getting the details right.

What We Offer

$20–$25 per hour, depending on experience, with performance-based raises as you grow
12 paid holidays PLUS 4 half-days with full-day pay
2 additional paid holidays (calendar dependent)
$400/month insurance bonus after 90 days
Employer-funded SEP IRA contribution after 3 years; contribution amount determined annually based on company performance

What You Will Be Doing

You will support our Mortgage Loan Originators and help keep loan files moving smoothly from application through closing. Responsibilities include:

Answering incoming calls and responding to emails professionally
Maintaining and processing loan files in Loan Origination Software
Collecting, reviewing, preparing, and processing required loan documentation
Ordering appraisals, preliminary title reports, title searches, and other third-party services
Preparing and packaging loan files for lender submission
Communicating with borrowers, lenders, escrow, title companies, dealers, and other parties involved in the transaction
Managing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Helping coordinate timely loan closings
Following established procedures and lender requirements carefully and consistently

What We're Looking For

We are not looking for the person with the most mortgage experience. We are looking for the right person. The ideal candidate:

Has a stable work history and demonstrates reliability and commitment
Is highly detail-oriented and organized
Is comfortable working with documents, numbers, and deadlines
Is proficient with computers and able to learn new software
Can follow detailed written procedures and apply them consistently
Has strong written and verbal communication skills
Can manage multiple priorities without losing track of details
Has good judgment and knows when to ask questions rather than make assumptions
Is self-motivated and able to work independently once trained
Maintains confidentiality and acts with integrity
Has a high school diploma or equivalent
Can commute to our Redding, CA office daily; this is a fully in-person position

Our business is different from a traditional mortgage company. We specialize in financing manufactured and mobile homes, and our loan process has its own unique requirements. You do not need to walk in knowing conventional mortgage guidelines. We can teach you the mortgage business. What we cannot teach is work ethic, attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
