Full Job Description

We are a reputable and growing dental practice serving the San Bernardino area, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Administrator to join our team!

As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors. If you enjoy helping people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

The Front Desk Administrator is responsible for providing outstanding patient service while supporting the daily operations of the practice. You'll communicate with patients, families, dental professionals, and team members to ensure every patient receives an exceptional experience.

Compensation

Starting pay of $23.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience (non-exempt; eligible for overtime)
Retirement plan, paid vacation, and paid holidays (eligibility requirements apply)
Ongoing professional development and cross-training opportunities in orthodontic assisting, treatment coordination, patient education, front office operations, and marketing

Position Details

Full-time or Part-time opportunities available based on business needs
Reports directly to the Office Manager
Immediate opening, position will remain open until filled
Open to both internal and external candidates

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Front Office Operations

Welcome patients and create a friendly, professional first impression
Schedule appointments and manage patient check-in and check-out
Communicate with patients through phone, text, email, and in-person interactions
Coordinate patient care with referring dentists and other healthcare providers
Maintain accurate patient records using the practice management system (Dolphin)
Assist with general administrative and front office responsibilities to ensure efficient daily operations

Clinical Support

Provide support to the clinical team as needed, including sterilization and operatory preparation between patients
Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Previous administrative experience (6–12 months preferred, but not required)
Previous dental or medical office experience preferred, but not required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider is a plus, but not required
Comfortable using computers, practice management software, and other technology tools
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Friendly, compassionate, and committed to providing outstanding customer service
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Eager to learn, adapt, and follow established office procedures and best practices
