Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire our culinary staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, manage team performance, and contribute to the success of our hospitality establishment.

Duties

Support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Oversee food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative dishes while managing ingredient availability and cost control.
Manage inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels for smooth service flow.
Monitor shift management activities, including scheduling, staffing levels, and workflow organization to maximize productivity.

Qualifications

Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong background in food production and culinary techniques.
Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead and manage diverse teams effectively.
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and cost control practices within the food industry.
Strong skills in food handling, food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management are essential.
Prior restaurant management or food service management experience preferred.
Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary accommodations for various dietary needs.
Excellent leadership qualities with a passion for hospitality, serving guests with professionalism and enthusiasm.
