About Six Zero
Six Zero is an Australian-owned performance pickleball brand built on engineering, innovation and a relentless focus on product performance. In just a few years we've grown from a garage startup into one of the world's leading pickleball brands, with products sold in more than 100 countries and trusted by players ranging from beginners to some of the sport's top professionals. Our mission has always been simple: build exceptional products, support the growth of pickleball, and create a brand that players genuinely want to be part of. As our global community continues to grow, we're creating a new leadership role to build and lead one of the most important departments within the business.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an exceptional operator to lead our Global Partnerships & Community function.
Your primary responsibility is ensuring our global partnerships and community programs operate efficiently every single day. You'll be responsible for maintaining outstanding communication with our athletes, ambassadors, clubs, coaches, facilities and strategic partners while continually improving the systems, processes and reporting that allow the department to scale.
This isn't a traditional partnerships role. You'll be required to build and lead the department responsible for Six Zero's global partnership and community ecosystem—creating scalable programs, developing meaningful partnerships, improving systems and ensuring every interaction with our community strengthens both the Six Zero brand and the customer experience.
If you enjoy creating order from complexity, building systems, improving workflows and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, this role could be an excellent fit.
What You'll Be Responsible For
You will lead Six Zero's Community & Partnerships department, bringing leadership, structure and accountability across all of our community-facing programs.
You'll be responsible for developing and continually improving our athlete, ambassador, coach, club, reviewer and facility programs, ensuring each has clear objectives, documented processes, measurable KPIs and consistently high standards of communication and execution.
You'll build and maintain strong relationships with key athletes, ambassadors, clubs, facilities, tournament organisers, universities and strategic partners. Working closely with the founders, you'll help identify new partnership opportunities while ensuring existing relationships continue to grow and deliver value for both Six Zero and our partners.
A significant part of the role will focus on operational excellence. You'll build scalable systems, improve workflows, develop standard operating procedures, implement better use of CRM, AI and reporting tools, and ensure our community programs can continue to grow without increasing complexity or founder involvement.
You'll use data to understand what's working and where improvements can be made. From athlete ROI and ambassador performance to partnership effectiveness and program participation, you'll develop meaningful reporting that helps leadership make better decisions and continually improve our investment across the community.
Most importantly, you'll lead and develop a growing team. You'll create a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement, ensuring the department operates efficiently while delivering an exceptional experience for everyone who interacts with the Six Zero brand.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role won't be measured by the number of partnerships signed. It will be measured by your ability to build a department that consistently delivers value. You'll create programs that are organised, scalable and commercially effective. Our athletes, ambassadors, clubs and partners will feel connected, supported and engaged. Timely internal and external communication is paramount. Our leadership team will have clear visibility through meaningful reporting and KPIs. Other departments will receive valuable insights that improve customer experience, product development and sales.
About You
We're looking for an experienced leader who enjoys building systems just as much as building relationships.
You understand that great partnerships don't happen by accident—they're built on clear communication, strong processes, consistent follow-through and genuine long-term relationships.
You are:
- Highly organised and operationally disciplined.
- Commercially minded and able to balance brand, community and business outcomes.
- Extremely strong with computing systems, technology and AI tools.
- Comfortable analysing data and using KPIs to drive decisions.
- An excellent communicator with outstanding relationship management skills.
- Passionate about building scalable processes and continuously improving the way teams operate.
- Equally comfortable thinking strategically and rolling up your sleeves to solve day-to-day challenges.
- Able to lead, coach and develop a growing team.
- Comfortable managing a large portfolio of relationships without losing attention to detail.
- Excited by the opportunity to build something new rather than simply maintain what already exists.
Experience within sporting goods, consumer products, community management, partnerships, sponsorship, retail or customer success will be highly regarded. Experience in pickleball is advantageous, but not essential—we're looking for someone who is excited to immerse themselves in the sport and become an active part of the community.
Why Join Six Zero?
This is an opportunity to help shape the future of one of the fastest-growing brands in pickleball.
You'll work directly with the founders and leadership team, have genuine ownership over an important part of the business and play a key role in building the systems, programs and relationships that will support Six Zero's next phase of global growth.
If you're someone who enjoys creating order from complexity, building high-performing teams and developing programs that make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
