Who We Are
Luckey’s Woodsman is a locally owned Central Oregon food-service company with a restaurant in Sisters, a food truck in Bend, and an adventure catering service that takes us throughout Central Oregon’s backcountry, wedding venues, community gatherings, and corporate events.
The original Luckey’s Woodsman opened in Springfield, Oregon, on August 1, 1956. At its height, the family business grew to seven locations throughout the Willamette Valley.
Our owner grew up hearing stories about both the accomplishments and challenges his grandparents and family experienced in the restaurant industry. Those stories inspired him to reopen Luckey’s Woodsman in 2020 with a new mission: to honor his family’s legacy while creating a healthier and more meaningful future for professional food service.
Today, we work to bridge the gap between outdoor recreation and professional hospitality. We are heavily involved in our community and believe that the world would be a better place if more people spent time outside.
What We Believe
We believe the outdoors can inspire people to enjoy cooking professionally again.
We believe outdoor recreation can be used as a tool to create a healthier work environment in an industry that has historically struggled with burnout and toxicity.
We believe in using fresh, high-quality, and sometimes wild ingredients.
We make our food from scratch using the best ingredients we can find, while supporting local farms, producers, and businesses whenever possible.
Most importantly, we believe in the power of the team. Luckey’s Woodsman would not be what it is today without the incredible people who work together to make it happen.
What’s in It for You?
- A fun, supportive, and positive work environment.
- Continuous culinary and professional-development opportunities.
- Opportunities for advancement within a growing local company.
- Optional financial-education classes focused on budgeting and building credit.
- An hourly wage of $23–$30+ per hour, including tips.
- Opportunities to participate in unique events and adventures while creating memorable experiences for our guests.
- The chance to work for a company that cares deeply about food, community, teamwork, and the outdoors.
