Fine Jewelry Sales Associate

Lumos Jewelers – Ellicott City, MD

Lumos Jewelers is seeking a driven, polished, and customer-focused Fine Jewelry Sales Associate to join our Ellicott City retail team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a jewelry sales professional—or a motivated retail professional interested in fine jewelry—to build a rewarding career in a refined, relationship-driven environment. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after each sale
Build lasting relationships with clients and provide a personalized shopping experience
Assist customers in selecting fine jewelry that meets their needs, preferences, and budget
Educate customers on jewelry quality, materials, craftsmanship, care, and value
Accurately process sales transactions using Point of Sale (POS) systems
Handle cash and other forms of payment in accordance with company procedures
Maintain clean, organized, secure, and visually appealing jewelry displays
Stock and replenish merchandise and assist with inventory management
Proactively recommend complementary and additional jewelry items
Meet and work toward established individual and store sales goals
Remain informed of store objectives and actively contribute to overall business performance
Apply company sales strategies and best practices to help drive growth
Stay current on jewelry trends, industry developments, product knowledge, and competitor offerings
Collaborate with team members to strengthen product knowledge and sales expertise
Assist with general store operations as needed

Qualifications & Experience

Previous retail sales experience preferred; fine jewelry, luxury goods, or high-end retail experience is a plus
Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
Professional, polished, and trustworthy demeanor
Ability to confidently engage customers and identify sales opportunities
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
Basic math proficiency for transactions, discounts, and promotions
Familiarity with retail pricing and promotional concepts
Willingness to learn about fine jewelry, gemstones, precious metals, and current industry trends
Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to maintain discretion and properly handle high-value merchandise
