Job Position

Business Development Manager (BDM)

What You’ll Do

The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating new revenue opportunities for HQTS by opening new markets, strategic accounts, and partnership channels. This role focuses on medium- to long-term growth, not short-term deal closing. The BDM identifies, qualifies, and develops sales-ready opportunities, which are then handed over to the Sales team for execution and closure

Responsibilities:

· Identify and develop new business opportunities across target industries, focused on consumer goods sector (e.g. Textiles, Footwear, Toys, Children products, furniture, electronics, home appliances, etc.)

· Research and prioritize target accounts, sourcing hubs, and regional growth opportunities.

· Build market-entry or expansion strategies for HQTS services (inspection, testing, auditing, SQE, ESG).

· Establish and manage senior-level relationships with prospective clients, Trade associations, chambers, and industry bodies

· Negotiate partnership frameworks (referral agreements, lead-sharing models, strategic alliances).

· Conduct early-stage discovery to understand customer needs, decision-makers, timelines, and budget indicators.

· Qualify prospects and hand over sales-ready opportunities to Sales, remaining involved during early-stage engagement when required.

· Represent HQTS at selected strategic tradeshows, conferences, and industry events to build long-term value from events beyond immediate lead counts.

· Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Technical teams to align on messaging, feasibility, and go-to-market strategy.

· Act as frontline market feedback on positioning, content needs, and competitor activity.

Required Skills & Experience:

· 10+ years in business development, strategic sales, or partnerships in supply chain, quality, manufacturing, international trade or related industries

· Strong ability to engage senior stakeholders (Director level and above)

· Proven experience opening new accounts, channels, or markets

· Comfortable working with long sales cycles and ambiguous outcomes

· Strong commercial judgment and opportunity qualification

· Ability to think strategically when viewing challenges and objectives.

· Self-motivated and determined

· Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

· Fluent English

Preferred Skills & Experience

· Experience in quality assurance, supply chain services, testing, inspection, auditing, or ESG/compliance-related services

· Experience working with global brands sourcing from China, SEA, or South Asia

· Proficiency in one or more additional European languages is highly valued for supporting business development across EU markets.
