Full Job Description

Cedar Wealth Management, a fee-only registered investment advisory firm, is looking for a solution-oriented team member. Our team members are in California and New Hampshire. This is a remote work opportunity.

Reporting to and working closely with the Wealth Advisor and Senior Wealth Advisor, this individual will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to operations, investments, regulatory compliance and administration. To the extent the candidate is interested in and has the applicable background, the role could include supporting our tax preparation and consulting business

Required Skills

· Experience in managing projects start to finish, with a strong ability to multi-task, solve problems, and operate under time constraints

· Strong analytical and data interpretation skills

· Technologically proficient: i.e. can set up and learn new software (and hardware) as needed, including the flexibility and desire to adapt to improvements in processes and procedures to ensure continued firm growth

· Strong attention to detail and grammatically proficient

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational and listening skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team

· Professionally mature and highly focused work style

· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

· Instinctive reasoning and decision making, sometimes in the absence of detailed instructions

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat

Desired Experience

· Experience with financial services related software ( Orion for billing and performance reporting) as well as investment custodian's websites (i.e. Schwab, Fidelity)

· Knowledge and experience with CRM (client relationship management software such as Redtail), financial planning software such as Money Guide Pro or comparable software

· 1+ years working within areas of investment related operations

· 1+ years working in accounting, bookkeeping and or tax preparation

· General knowledge of financial markets such as dynamics of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and exchange traded funds (ETFs)

· Basic understanding of the market and its conditions

Responsibilities

· Custodian interface: complete new account applications and various account maintenance forms, process cash and securities transactions, follow up on transactions as needed

· Maintain clients’ physical and electronic records

· Interface with and meet client needs: cash and security transfers, send and receive data and forms from clients via email, mail or fax

· Enter and update data in lists required for regulatory purposes such as trade tickets, proxy votes, etc.

· Perform monthly billing using Orion

· Create performance reports using Orion and prepare quarterly presentations

· Perform administrative tasks as needed

· Set-up internal maintenance of client accounts

· Review and report on account transactions and portfolio performance and maintain security performance tracking data,

· Enter notes in to client relationship management software; maintain and further improve CRM database and its utility

· Assist in maintaining firm software and hardware

· Respond to phone calls and e-mail from clients, vendors and others

· Assist in the adherence to compliance policies and procedures; maintain internal and online SEC documentation; create and maintain processes required to abide by regulations

· Aid in the design, development and creation of marketing materials; help to revamp, update and maintain firm website

· Assist advisors by entering data into investment and asset allocation models

· Participate in the data gathering process, meetings and/or conference calls with clients. If the candidate’s background is applicable, support the tax preparation business through a variety of tasks including data gathering, data entry into Excel and tax preparation software.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
