Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented OpenText xECM (Extended ECM) Administrator to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining the OpenText xECM platform to ensure seamless document management and enterprise content services. Your expertise will support our organization's digital transformation initiatives by optimizing system performance, ensuring security, and integrating with various enterprise applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of enterprise content management, leveraging your technical skills to drive efficiency and collaboration across departments.

Duties

Install, configure, and upgrade OpenText xECM solutions in accordance with best practices and organizational standards.
Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to ensure high availability and performance.
Develop and implement system architecture designs that align with service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles and support scalable enterprise solutions.
Manage integrations with other enterprise systems such as Pegasystems, databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), and APIs using RESTful services.
Administer system security by configuring firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and implementing information security protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
Collaborate with solution architects to design efficient system architectures utilizing virtualization (VMware, ESXi), containerization (Kubernetes), and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides following SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.

Skills

Extensive experience with OpenText xECM administration and system configuration.
Strong knowledge of RAID controllers, load balancing techniques, and system architecture design principles.
Proficiency in operating systems including Windows, Linux, UNIX, and their respective scripting languages such as Bash or Shell Scripting.
Familiarity with database management systems like SQL Server (Microsoft SQL), T-SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and PL/SQL for data integration and management tasks.
Expertise in IT infrastructure components including computer networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN), firewalls, DNS management, and cybersecurity best practices.
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment processes.
Knowledge of microservices architecture using RESTful APIs for seamless application integration.
Experience working within Agile environments utilizing solution architecture methodologies for scalable enterprise solutions.
Understanding of system design principles involving virtualization (VMware/ESXi), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud services like AWS or Azure.
Strong background in systems engineering encompassing system administration tasks across multiple platforms including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or JavaScript for scripting automation tasks or customizing solutions related to content management systems.
