Sound Bight Media is looking for a highly motivated and independent Digital Media Creator who specializes in animation, illustration and video editing to join our team in Portland, Oregon.
The primary goal of this position is give our videos a unique aesthetic, help launch a new animated YouTube channel, and provide guidance on other video illustrations. Additionally, experience editing videos and best practices around editing videos is highly preferred.
The right person for the position will have experience in creating unique illustrations, but also in a way that’s easy to replicate and reproduce on a weekly basis. We’re looking to provide minor animations to our videos, not full cartoon/anime/comic book style illustrations and animations. This means that the person will have experience with tools like Adobe After Effects and Adobe Animate. A back up job for this position will be to help edit full videos to life across all our channels and work with contractors when needed to adhere to established editing guidelines.
Finally, this position will support the company as a whole as needed. We’re a small company that’s very much a start up and everyone wears all hats. This means you could find yourself uploading videos, supporting additional production of videos, scheduling social media, or materials for an article, and so on. Additional skills in the Adobe software suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere, is a big bonus.
This position is based in Portland, Oregon and the ideal person hired for this position will be located within the Portland metropolitan area. However, remote applicants within the United States will be considered as well. At present this is a work-from-home position.
