Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
Location: 100% Remote

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced ABA Medical Billing Specialist with direct, hands-on experience in Applied Behavior Analysis billing. You'll own the full revenue cycle for our ABA services — from authorizations through claim resolution — working across multiple payers and states.

Please note: direct ABA billing experience is required. This role isn't a fit for general medical billers or for RBTs/BCBAs without hands-on billing experience. ABA authorizations and CPT structure differ meaningfully from other specialties, and we need someone who can step in without a learning curve.

What You'll Do

Submit and manage ABA claims across Medicaid and commercial payers
Obtain and track prior authorizations and reauthorizations
Bill ABA CPT codes including 97151, 97153, 97154, 97155, and 97156
Manage Single Case Agreement (SCA) billing and negotiations
Verify eligibility and benefits for new and continuing clients
Follow up on outstanding claims; handle denials, appeals, and resubmissions
Track authorization expirations and flag renewals before lapses occur
Coordinate with clinical staff on documentation needed for authorization

Requirements

Proven professional experience in ABA billing (please describe it in your application)
Strong working knowledge of ABA CPT codes and authorization requirements
Experience with both Medicaid and commercial insurance
Understanding of Single Case Agreements
Track record resolving denied and unpaid ABA claims
Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple deadlines
Reliable internet and a private, HIPAA-appropriate workspace
