We are currently seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager for overseeing the daily operations of the Revenue Cycle Department insurance billing, coding support, payment posting, accounts receivable management, denial resolution, and revenue optimization. This individual will work closely with executive leadership to implement strategic initiatives that improve operational efficiency and maximize reimbursement. The individual will manage a billing team and identify areas of improvement using AI to improve billing and collections experience. The role will is expected to be a remote position with limited travel.

At ModifyHealth we will change lives by making dietary modification simple for healthcare providers and their patients. Candidates should have an upbeat positive attitude, customer service mentality and be a self-motivated, action-oriented starter.

Essential Job Functions

Manage all aspects of the revenue cycle from patient registration through final payment.
Lead and develop Revenue Cycle staff through coaching, training, and performance management.
Monitor key performance indicators including:
Days in Accounts Receivable
Clean Claim Rate
First Pass Resolution Rate
Denial Rate
Net Collection Rate
Aging Accounts
Develop action plans to reduce denials and improve cash flow.
Analyze payer trends and implement strategies to maximize reimbursement.
Collaborate with clients and executive leadership to improve documentation and billing accuracy.
Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medi-Cal, commercial payer, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee payer audits, appeals, contract implementation, and reimbursement analysis.
Lead revenue cycle projects including workflow improvements, automation, and system optimization.

Skills Required

Minimum of 5 years of finance experience, with a Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 5 years of healthcare provider Revenue Cycle experience, with demonstrated knowledge across patient access, mid-cycle, and back-end operations
Minimum of 2 years leading revenue cycle transformation engagements with measurable impact on net revenue, denial rates, cash acceleration, or operational efficiency
Minimum of 2 years of direct people management experience, including leading, coaching, and developing teams in a project based environment
Familiarity with the RCM regulatory environment, including HIPAA, CMS billing and coding requirements, price transparency rules, and prior authorization mandates
Strong financial acumen, including the ability to build business cases, model revenue scenarios, forecast engagement economics, and develop early warning indicators
Bonus Skills
Experience advising on or deploying AI automation in revenue cycle contexts, such as analytics for denials prediction, coding, prior authorization, or patient financial engagement
Hands-on experience with payer contracting strategy, managed care optimization, or underpayment recovery
Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Python, applied to revenue cycle performance improvement
MBA, MHA, or equivalent advanced degree
