Full Job Description

Summary

As a Consultant at Evolutio, you will regularly engage with clients to implement our market-leading observability strategy.

This role involves gathering requirements, grooming data, configuring and tuning alerts, proposing and delivering dashboards based on our standards, and integrating the monitoring platform with other operational tools in the client’s landscape (such as PagerDuty and ServiceNow) to enable automatic alerting for critical performance issues.

Our team of consultants works remotely with clients situated throughout the United States and internationally. Candidates must be comfortable working from home and traveling by plane. While travel may be up to 25% of the time, it often averages less than 10% and is based on client needs. Additionally, candidates should be prepared for occasional travel for training, planning sessions, and internal company events. As this is a client-facing role, candidates should be energized by speaking to groups and conducting training sessions both remotely and in person.

Responsibilities

Lead working sessions with external clients and stakeholders and provide related technical support.
Train teams on technical implementations and best practices.
Communicate daily with our clients and colleagues across the globe.
Analyze data and create action-oriented metrics for clients and end users.
Create rich data visualizations with business context to help our client solve impactful business problems.
Solve complex problems using a variety of observability, AI and monitoring tools.
Perform integrations between various technology stacks.
Assist in gathering and documenting client requirements.
Support the configuration and tuning of alerts and monitoring systems.
Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful delivery of client projects.
Participate in regular planning sessions and contribute to project management activities.
Reliable and Dependable: Submits timecards on time, is punctual for meetings, and is generally on camera during meetings.

Qualifications and requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience in Production Operations, Systems Administration, or Software Development.
Demonstrated understanding of how distributed applications work together to complete a business process for an organization.

Preferred skills and experience

Consulting experience in any industry.
Experience in monitoring and performance tools (Appdynamics, Splunk, and Datadog are a plus).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Exposure to various platforms, including authentication, cloud, .NET, Java, or mobile.
Exposure to middleware components such as web servers, app servers, messaging, or integration.
Understanding of APIs and basic integration techniques.
Familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) concepts.
Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems, and security principles.
