Full Job Description

Senior Mobile Application Developer (Android & iOS) – RemoteLocation

Remote – United States
(Candidates may sit anywhere in the U.S. but must be comfortable working East Coast hours.)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Application Developer with expertise in Android and/or iOS development to join a fast-paced, collaborative team. This role will focus on building and supporting customer-facing enterprise mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with strong coding experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise mobile applications for Android and/or iOS platforms
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support complex application architectures
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in large-scale distributed systems
Conduct performance analysis and capacity management
Implement and integrate third-party APIs and services
Ensure applications meet security, performance, and usability standards
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Stay current with emerging technologies and mobile development best practices

Required Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on mobile application development experience
Recent experience where coding was the primary responsibility
Strong experience with:
Java and Android SDK for enterprise Android applications and/or
Swift for enterprise iOS applications
Expertise with Android and/or iOS development tools and environments
Experience publishing apps to:
Google Play Store and/or
Apple App Store
Strong understanding of:
Mobile design principles, patterns, and best practices
Security best practices for mobile applications
Performance tuning, threading, storage management, and multiple SDK environments
Experience working with device/system integrations such as:
Biometrics login
Push notifications
System intents (alarms, calendars, gyroscopes, accelerometers, etc.)
Experience implementing third-party APIs
Familiarity with tools such as:
Postman
SoapUI
Fiddler
Working knowledge of Git or similar version control systems
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset
Passion for technology and continuous learning

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Kotlin
Utility industry experience
Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for:
Publishing Android apps to the Google Play Store
Publishing iOS apps to the Apple App Store

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
