Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. This position offers an opportunity to work in a rewarding environment where your skills and caring nature are valued.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each service user's needs
Monitor and record health conditions and report any concerns to senior staff promptly
Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
Support with light domestic tasks within care environments to promote independence
Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and team members to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations
Good command of English, both written and spoken
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caring for others
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
