Licensed Real Estate Transaction Coordinator — Remote 1099 Contractor
A high-producing real estate transaction team is seeking an experienced, highly organized Transaction Coordinator to manage residential transactions from contract to close.
This is a fully remote, part-time independent-contractor position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as volume grows. Compensation is paid per transaction. Our established Transaction Coordinators typically manage 30 or more transactions per month once fully onboarded.
The ideal candidate understands the pace of a high-volume real estate team, anticipates problems before they arise and keeps every transaction moving forward with accuracy and excellent communication.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate residential transactions from executed contract through closing
- Review contracts and supporting documents for completeness and required signatures
- Track deadlines, contingencies, due-diligence periods, inspections, appraisals and closing milestones
- Communicate professionally with clients, agents, lenders, attorneys, inspectors and other parties
- Maintain accurate transaction records, checklists and document files
- Obtain missing documents and signatures
- Provide agents and clients with regular status updates
- Coordinate inspections, repair documentation, appraisal access and closing details
- Ensure required brokerage and compliance documents are submitted on time
- Identify potential delays or problems and escalate them promptly
- Manage multiple active transactions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Required Qualifications
- Active North Carolina and/or South Carolina real estate license
- Minimum of five years as a licensed real estate professional
- Direct experience managing residential real estate transactions
- Strong understanding of NC and/or SC contracts, deadlines and closing processes
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail and follow-through
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage a growing transaction pipeline
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
- Proficiency with electronic signatures, cloud-based documents, transaction-management systems and CRM platforms
- Reliable computer, secure high-speed internet connection and professional remote workspace
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Transaction Coordinator, Closing Coordinator or real estate operations professional
- Experience supporting a high-producing agent or team
- Experience coordinating transactions in both North Carolina and South Carolina
- References from brokers, team leaders or agents previously supported
