Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Negotiator to join our company in a fully remote capacity. This position will support all our market locations and is responsible for managing negotiations with insurance carriers, adjusters, and contractors.

The ideal candidate will have prior negotiation experience, strong knowledge of the mitigation and restoration industry, and advanced proficiency with Xactimate. This individual must be able to review estimates, evaluate project scopes, negotiate claim-related matters, and achieve favorable resolutions while protecting the company’s financial and operational interests.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage negotiations related to mitigation services, project scopes, pricing, insurance claims, settlements, and payment resolutions.
Support all company market locations remotely while maintaining consistent communication and service standards.
Review, prepare, and revise estimates using Xactimate.
Analyze scopes of work, line items, pricing, invoices, contracts, claim documentation, and supporting records to develop effective negotiation strategies.
Negotiate with insurance carriers, adjusters, contractors, and other external stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to resolve disputes, reduce delays, improve claim outcomes, and protect company revenue.
Prepare clear, persuasive proposals, correspondence, estimate revisions, and negotiation summaries.
Maintain accurate records of negotiations, agreements, commitments, and follow-up activities.
Collaborate with operations, estimating, accounting, and management teams to ensure negotiated agreements are implemented accurately.
Escalate complex, high-value, or high-risk matters appropriately and provide recommendations to leadership.
Maintain a professional, solutions-oriented approach during challenging or time-sensitive discussions.
Support the development and refinement of negotiation procedures, templates, and best practices.
Manage numerous projects and negotiations independently in a remote work environment.

Qualifications

Previous professional experience in negotiation is required.
Demonstrated experience negotiating pricing, contracts, insurance claims, settlements, or service-related disputes.
Advanced proficiency with Xactimate is required.
Experience in mitigation, restoration, insurance claims, construction, property services, or a related industry is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of property damage estimates, scopes of work, invoices, contracts, and insurance documentation.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to remain composed, professional, and persuasive during difficult conversations.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing numerous negotiations across various market locations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, virtual communication platforms, and standard business technology.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teams.

Preferred Attributes

Experience with insurance carrier procedures and claim negotiations.
Strong knowledge of property damage mitigation and restoration processes.
Familiarity with Xactimate estimate review, pricing, line-item analysis, and scope development.
Strong relationship-building and conflict-resolution skills.
High level of integrity, discretion, accountability, and professionalism.
Results-oriented approach with sound commercial judgment.
Reliable home office setup and dependable high-speed internet access.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary of $120,000
Eligibility for additional compensation in accordance with company guidelines
