RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare, review, and submit the annual HMDA Loan Application Register, including ongoing data integrity reviews throughout the year.
Prepare and file the quarterly NMLS Mortgage Call Report, reconciling reported figures to internal production and accounting data.
Complete state-specific regulatory reports and annual filings, tracking deadlines and requirements across all licensed states.
Maintain reporting calendars to ensure all federal, state, and agency deadlines are met.
Identify and resolve data discrepancies in the loan origination system, working with internal departments to correct source data.
Support regulatory examinations, audits, and information requests by compiling loan data and supporting documentation.
Research reporting requirements when regulations change or new state licenses are added, and update procedures accordingly.
Foster a professional, courteous, and welcoming work environment.
Duties may extend beyond those listed above as time permits and business needs require.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in the mortgage industry.
Working knowledge of HMDA (Regulation C) data requirements and NMLS Mortgage Call Report standards.
Proficiency in identifying discrepancies and errors in loan data.
High accuracy in data entry and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong Excel skills, including the ability to manage and analyze large data sets.
Ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines independently.
Excellent communication skills and a drive to build strong relationships with loan officers, processing, closing, secondary marketing, and other stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Must be a team player with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to comprehend and integrate updated regulatory requirements from various sources into daily tasks.
Self-motivated with a commitment to learning and contributing to a successful, innovative team.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years in mortgage banking, compliance, or regulatory reporting.
Direct experience with HMDA reporting, Mortgage Call Reports, or state regulatory filings is advantageous.
Familiarity with Encompass or a similar loan origination system is preferred.
Familiarity with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA mortgage lending processes is helpful.
