HealthRecon Connect (HRC) is a fast-growing, technology-enabled Revenue Cycle Management partner to U.S. healthcare providers. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Southlake, TX, we serve 150+ laboratories, 35+ hospitals and ASCs, 250+ physician practices, and 25+ imaging centers nationwide — backed by 30+ years of deep RCM domain expertise, AI, machine learning, and automated workflows.

K1 (k1app.com) is our flagship patient pay platform. K1 transforms the patient financial experience — translating complex bills into plain language, automating SMS / email / chatbot reminders, offering flexible self-service payment plans, and giving providers branded, HIPAA-compliant collections at scale. Patients get clarity. Providers get cash flow. The market is moving fast, and we are scaling our go-to-market team to match the demand.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Director, Business Development to drive net-new revenue for K1 across large physician groups, health systems, and channel / RCM partnerships. This is a high-impact individual-contributor role with a clear path to building and leading a team as the K1 book scales. You will work alongside our Senior Director, Business Development and report into senior commercial leadership.

This role is for a closer. You know how to navigate complex healthcare buying committees — CFOs, VPs of Revenue Cycle, RCM Directors, CIOs, Practice Administrators, and channel executives — and you can shorten 9-month sales cycles by speaking their language fluently from day one.

What You'll Do

Own a personal new-logo quota for K1 across an assigned territory or segment (physician groups, health systems, and/or RCM channel partners).
Build and execute a territory plan — target account list, outbound cadence, conference strategy, and partnership-led pipeline — that consistently delivers 3-4x pipeline coverage.
Run discovery and consultative sales conversations with CFOs, Revenue Cycle leaders, and Practice Administrators; quantify ROI in terms they care about (days in AR, point-of-service collection lift, bad-debt reduction, patient NPS).
Build channel and reseller partnerships with RCM firms, billing companies, EHR/PM vendors, clearinghouses, and complementary healthtech platforms — turning each into a repeatable, multi-deal pipeline source.
Negotiate complex commercial agreements: pilot-to-enterprise transitions, multi-year SaaS contracts, revenue-share and BAA-governed deals.
Represent K1 at HFMA, HBMA, MGMA, AAHAM, RBMA, HIMSS, and Becker's conferences — both on stage and in the hallway.
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing on ABM campaigns, with Product on customer feedback and roadmap input, and with Implementation to ensure clean handoffs and reference-worthy go-lives.
Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene and accurate forecasts; communicate risks and upside early.

What You'll Bring

Must-haves

8+ years of B2B sales / business development experience in U.S. healthcare, with at least 4 years selling patient pay, RCM, patient financial engagement, or closely adjacent SaaS solutions.
Demonstrable, recent track record of closing six- and seven-figure ACV deals with large physician groups (50+ providers), IDNs / health systems, and/or RCM channel partners — references will be checked.
Deep working knowledge of the U.S. revenue cycle: patient access, eligibility, statements, self-pay / early-out, propensity-to-pay, collections, and the regulations that frame them (HIPAA, No Surprises Act, 501(r), Reg F, PCI-DSS).
Proven channel / partnership experience — you have built and monetised reseller, referral, or co-sell motions with RCM firms, billing companies, EHRs, or clearinghouses.
Comfort with complex, multi-stakeholder, value-based selling (MEDDICC, Challenger, or equivalent).
Active membership in at least one of HFMA, HBMA, MGMA, or AAHAM, with a credible personal network in those communities.
Willingness to travel up to 40% for client meetings, conferences, and partner QBRs.

Strongly preferred

HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).
HBMA Certified Healthcare Billing & Management Executive (CHBME) or AAHAM CRCE / CRCP credential.
Experience selling against or alongside Cedar, PatientPay, Waystar, InstaMed, RevSpring, Salucro, Collectly, AccessOne, or VisitPay / Ivinci.
Prior experience at a high-growth, founder-led healthtech or RCM company.
Bachelor's degree; MBA or healthcare-administration coursework a plus.
