Field Service Engineer – MRI / CT / PET-CT

Siemens & GE Imaging Systems

Must have prior experience servicing medical imaging equipment and especially Siemens MRI

No OEM candidates

Eastern US candidates preferred due to the amount of travel

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer with experience servicing Siemens or GE MRI, CT, or PET/CT systems to join our growing service team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring critical diagnostic imaging systems remain fully operational for hospitals and imaging centers.

This position is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who thrives in field environments, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service in healthcare settings where equipment uptime is essential to patient care.

What You’ll Do

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Siemens or GE MRI, CT, and/or PET/CT systems
Perform preventative maintenance, system calibrations, and performance verification
Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions
Respond to service calls and support customers in time-sensitive clinical environments
Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and submit timely field service reports
Communicate technical updates and system status with customers and service leadership
Maintain and manage company tools, test equipment, and service parts inventory
Build strong working relationships with hospital biomedical teams and clinical staff
Continuously expand technical expertise across imaging modalities

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

5+ years of experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment
Direct experience with Siemens or GE MRI, CT, or PET/CT systems
Must have Siemens MRI experience
Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems
Ability to work independently in field environments
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficiency with service documentation and computer systems
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
Multi-modality imaging service experience

Travel

75% travel required or as needed
Ideal candidate can access major airport hubs easily
Must be comfortable with overnight travel and occasional after-hours service support
