Full Job Description

Overview
The Customer Service / Call Center Representative will serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to claims, benefits, and eligibility. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of healthcare claims processes, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls from healthcare providers regarding claims, benefits, eligibility, and other related inquiries.
Provide accurate and timely information to providers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Research and resolve provider issues, including claim denials, payment discrepancies, and benefit clarifications.
Document all interactions and resolutions in the call center system.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complex provider issues and ensure accurate information is provided.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Meet or exceed performance metrics, including call handling time, resolution rates, and customer satisfaction scores.
Conduct investigations as necessary to resolve discrepancies, identify potentially fraudulent activity, and mitigate risks to the company.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements throughout the claims processing workflow.
Generate reports and statistics on claim processing activities, trends, and outcomes to support management decision-making and performance evaluation.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and enhanced customer satisfaction within the claims processing function.
Assist with projects, reporting, and other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in the healthcare industry. PACE experience a plus.
Strong understanding of healthcare claims processing and provider relations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in using call center software and other relevant computer applications.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems such as ICD-10, COT, and HCPCS.
Strong understanding of Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), coverage terms, and claims procedures.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information and make sound decisions.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with claim processing software and Microsoft Office applications.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
