Full Job Description

About us:

Real Estate Alpha is a vertically integrated multifamily real estate investment and property management firm with a nine-plus year operating history across core Midwest markets. The firm owns and operates a multifamily portfolio exceeding $80 million in AUM and is scaling rapidly across acquisitions, property management, leasing, construction, capital raising, and administrative operations.

This role sits at the center of the firm’s hiring operation and is responsible for owning recruiting, candidate pipeline management, hiring coordination, and onboarding process development in direct coordination with senior leadership.

We are hiring one full-time in-house recruiter to build and manage the company’s internal recruiting function. This person will help us reduce time spent on hiring, improve candidate quality, and create a repeatable system for filling local, remote, virtual, operational, administrative, and leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and manage the full recruiting lifecycle across all open roles, including job description creation, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer support, and onboarding handoff.

Source high-quality candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, job boards, referrals, direct outreach, and other creative sourcing channels.

Build and manage candidate pipelines for recurring role types, including office/admin, property management, leasing, virtual assistant, acquisitions, operations, capital raising, construction, and leadership positions.

Conduct first-round screening calls and second-round interviews to evaluate candidate fit, experience, communication skills, reliability, and long-term potential.

Prepare top candidates for final-round interviews with senior leadership and provide clear candidate summaries, recommendations, and concerns.

Maintain organized candidate tracking, hiring metrics, interview notes, and follow-up workflows across all active searches.

Partner with Michaela and department leads to build, document, and maintain hiring processes, onboarding materials, role scorecards, and Trainual content.

Create and refine job postings that attract high-quality candidates and accurately represent the company’s standards, culture, and expectations.

Manage candidate communication professionally and maintain a strong candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding.

Track hiring performance, including applicant flow, source quality, response rates, interview conversions, time-to-fill, and offer acceptance rates.

Identify hiring bottlenecks and implement process improvements to make the recruiting function more consistent, scalable, and less dependent on senior leadership.

Required Experience:

3+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or full-cycle hiring experience.

Experience sourcing candidates directly, not just managing inbound applications.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple open roles at once without losing organization, urgency, or follow-up quality.

Experience hiring for a mix of operational, administrative, remote, virtual, and leadership roles preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to represent the company professionally at every candidate touchpoint.

High attention to detail with strong systems, documentation, and process orientation.

Hands-on experience with LinkedIn, Indeed, job boards, applicant tracking systems, spreadsheets, CRMs, or similar tracking tools.

Comfortable building hiring processes from the ground up in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.

Ability to work directly with senior leadership and take ownership without constant direction.

You must be proactive, organized, and comfortable going out to find talent instead of waiting for applicants to come in.
