Full Job Description

Job Title: Director – Strategic Accounts (Sales Representative) | Remote

The Buying Networks (“TBN”) is a Group Purchasing Organization dedicated to achieving savings for our members through our collective buying power, providing excellent customer service, and simplifying the procurement process. Since 2008, we have had the privilege of helping more than 6000 members across the childcare, education, nonprofit, small business, corporate, and hospitality industries and give back to our communities through partnering with local, national, and international nonprofits. As we grow, we seek an individual who shares our passion to make a difference for our members and the greater community alike. Role Summary:

This is primarily a new member sales role, where the individual will utilize our internal pipeline, and their own business development research to build TBN’s book of business. The individual will be responsible for initial contact, member signup, member onboarding, assistance with implementation and continued relationship building after implementation. This is an individual contributor role that reports directly to the Senior Director of Business Development.

Key Responsibilities:

Below is a high-level outline of known duties. As TBN is a small but rapidly growing company, duties listed below, and corresponding priorities may change based on business needs.

· Grow the business through signing on new members

· Follow up with prospective opportunities intending to close deals and sign on members

· Develop strong understanding of products and services offered through TBN’s contracts

· Develop expert understanding of member needs/problems, provide proper services at the right time

· Ensure member savings through timely execution of applicable contracts

· Represent the company with excellent professionalism and business acumen

· Present well during in-person interactions and virtual meetings

· Maintain and update prospect status within pipeline and CRM system

· Own respective members needs and communication during account ownership period

· Assist both customer service and implementation team with respective accounts during account ownership period

· Be a team player, operate collaboratively, building/maintaining a team atmosphere

· Complete any additional work that may be required

· Meet goals (development and sales targets) developed with and or delegated by leadership

Skills & Qualifications Required:

· Excellent communication, written and oral

· Independent initiator

· Strong relationship skills

· Desire to serve our members

· Drive to grow within TBN

· Ability to build and grow strong relationships/partnership with our vendors

· Ability to build our member and vendor network

· Microsoft teams and video conferencing understanding and usage

· Microsoft Office suite understanding and usage

· ZOHO CRM experience is a plus

Preferred professional experience qualifications:

· Minimum of five years of successful sales experience

· Trade show exhibiting experience

· Experience and comfort with a six-to-eighteen-month sales cycle

Compensation:

Base salary with a commission plan (No cap on commissions)

Work Location:

This is a remote role where the employee can work from any location providing, they have full access to reliable internet and phone service and are in an environment where they can focus and perform required duties, while maintaining proper confidentiality. In person meetings and training shall be required as needed. Some business-related travel will be required in this role.

Work Schedule:

This is a salaried exempt position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Our standard hours of operation are 9a - 5p eastern. There will be times where business needs may require additional time and support beyond 40 hours per week and outside of typical (9a-5p ET) business hours.
