Position Overview
This role will lead end-to-end content planning and editorial strategy for Science across international platforms, including YouTube and TikTok. The ideal candidate brings substantial experience living and working in North America, a global perspective, and a strong instinct for science storytelling.
Responsibilities
1. International Content Strategy & Topic Leadership
- Lead topic planning across international platforms, aligning content with emerging science stories and technology trends relevant to global audiences.
- Develop repeatable science content formats and flagship series, building an editorial framework tailored to the viewing habits and preferences of international audiences.
2. In-Depth Content Planning & Scriptwriting
- Turn complex scientific concepts—such as AI, physics, and biology—into compelling stories that resonate with North American and other English-speaking audiences.
- Write and refine core scripts and narration, ensuring content is both scientifically accurate and highly engaging for global audiences.
3. Content Optimization & Iteration
- Analyze platform performance and audience feedback to refine topic selection, storytelling angles, and writing style.
- Monitor leading global science creators and top-performing channels to identify new formats, emerging trends, and opportunities for content innovation.
Qualifications
1. Core Background (Mandatory)
- Significant experience living and working in North America, with a strong understanding of mainstream culture, social norms, and communication styles.
- Proven experience leading content strategy or editorial planning for international media platforms. Experience building a YouTube, TikTok, or other international media account from the ground up is highly preferred.
2. Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Film, Literature, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in content strategy, editorial planning, or scriptwriting.
- Excellent English writing and editorial skills, with the ability to produce polished, audience-facing content for international markets. Professional proficiency in both English and Chinese is a strong plus.
3. Industry Expertise
- Strong understanding of the content styles, platform dynamics, and audience expectations of international social media.
- Experience developing science, technology, or educational content accounts is a strong plus.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
