Full Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Transactional Paralegal to join our team! We are a very busy small firm specializing in aviation transactions, regulation and tax. We assist our clients in the acquisition, ownership and operation of aircraft for their business and personal use. Our clients are dynamic, entrepreneurial and interesting people.

This position will be responsible for corporate entity structure and document preparation, state and federal document filings, working with escrow companies, and heavy client contact. The right candidate should have 5+ years of corporate and transactional experience, 3 years preferably served in a law firm or corporate legal environment, comfortable running deals from start to finish, exhibit exceptional attention to detail, a sense of urgency and high energy. If you can think on your feet, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and are ready to learn business aviation law, we are looking for you.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and examine documents, state and federal notices, government forms, entity formations and complete inquiries from government entities in compliance with regulations.

Work with escrow and title companies to complete the aircraft purchase process.

Prepare documents such as operating agreements, leases, and necessary FAA forms.

Envision new processes to improve efficiency.

Work closely with firm attorneys and other team members.

Constant contact with clients via email and phone.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in paralegal work and transactions required; aviation experience not required.

Knowledge of state websites, both secretaries of state and departments of revenue and performing internet research.

Experience with billing software, Microsoft Suite, Reporting tools, Salesforce.

Detail and deadline-sensitive, able to work under time constraints.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Able to work with the team as well as independently with little supervision once trained.

Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required:

Transactional paralegal experience such as corporate, real estate or franchise - (5+ years)

Relevant overall experience - (5+ years)
