Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grants and Contracts Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the full lifecycle of grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations. Your expertise will drive successful grant project management, contract negotiations, and vendor relationships, supporting our mission to advance innovative programs and initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while honing your skills in legal drafting, procurement processes, and strategic planning within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Oversee the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts and grants, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Manage vendor relationships through effective vendor management practices, including document review and performance monitoring.
Maintain meticulous records management systems for all contractual documents, grant files, and procurement activities using tools like Salesforce, PeopleSoft, or ERP systems.
Ensure adherence to procurement regulatory knowledge such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), UCC law, and public sector purchasing policies.
Facilitate grant project management by coordinating proposal writing, pricing strategies, technical writing, and progress reporting.
Conduct contract reviews for legal compliance, intellectual property considerations, and risk mitigation.
Negotiate terms with contractors and vendors to secure favorable agreements while managing change processes efficiently.
Support business development initiatives through strategic planning and proposal development efforts aimed at expanding organizational impact.

Requirements

Proven experience in government contract management or procurement within the public sector environment.
Strong understanding of contracts law including UCC law, intellectual property law, and compliance management principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce, DocuSign, PeopleSoft, and ERP systems for document management and record keeping.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability in grant management from proposal writing to project execution and reporting.
Knowledge of procurement regulatory frameworks such as FAR regulations and public sector purchasing policies.
Exceptional writing skills for technical documents, legal drafting, proposals, and reports.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strategic planning capabilities.
Strong research skills combined with a detail-oriented approach to records management and document review.
