Full Job Description

Job Summary:
We're looking for Consultant Board Certified Physicians who are credentialed in one or more of the following specialties to include, Neurosurgery, Hematology, Medical Oncology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Otolaryngology, Orthopedic Surgery specializing in Spine Surgery, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Gastroenterology and Sleep Medicine. As a Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient chart reviews. This is a rewarding opportunity that impacts the lives of patients in need.

Responsibilities:
Utilize clinical expertise, and review medical claims by providing an interpretation of the medical appropriateness of services provided by other healthcare professionals in compliance with state regulations and medical guidelines, nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines, client-specifics, policies, procedures, performance standards, and URAC guidelines

Skills:
- Strong clinical skills with expertise in the specific specialty
- Proficient in patient care techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
- Familiarity with radiation therapy and its applications in your specialty
- Experience with ICD-10 coding and documentation
- Ability to interpret medical test results accurately
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) prescribing guidelines
- Familiarity with tube feeding procedures and protocols

Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution. - Actively practicing in your specific specialty treating patients full-time (24 hours per week or more); or, if currently retired, having seen patients within the past three years of your retirement
- Valid medical license to practice as a Physician in the state(s) where you reside. Multiple state licensure preferred with,
- Board certification in the relevant specialty
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

We offer competitive compensation per review on an hourly or per case basis. EOE

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $100.00 - $150.00 per hour
