Job Title: Tax Manager - Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) Specialty

Location: 100% Remote (Anywhere in the United States)

Salary Range: $145,000 - $200,000 per year

Required Experience: 5+ years of public accounting experience

Job Summary

A prominent mid-size CPA firm is seeking a 100% remote Tax Manager specializing in Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients. This fully remote position allows you to manage intricate compliance and strategic planning for generational wealth, family offices, and complex trust structures from anywhere in the country. If you want high-level technical engagement without commuting, this role delivers the autonomy and growth you are looking for.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and review complex federal and state tax returns for UHNW individuals, multi-generational families, trusts, estates, and private foundations.
Provide sophisticated tax planning, wealth preservation strategies, and transactional consulting directly to affluent clientele.
Manage, mentor, and develop a remote team of senior and staff tax accountants.
Conduct extensive research on complex, evolving tax laws to minimize client tax liabilities legally.
Act as a primary liaison between clients, family office representatives, and firm leadership to ensure seamless service.

Must-Have Qualifications

5 or more years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
Strong technical background managing and reviewing complex UHNW individual and fiduciary tax returns.
Proven leadership experience supervising professional staff in a public accounting environment.
Active CPA license or IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) credential.
Advanced communication skills necessary to consult effectively with affluent clients and advisors.
