Job Title: Junior Accountant

Our proprietary technology, Blackfire, and diverse publisher network is built to develop, launch, and scale content-based marketing campaigns across more than a dozen integrated third-party networks, including Meta, X, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Outbrain resulting in profitable customer acquisition at scale.

Location: (Remote)

The role is part-time and will require EST working hours.

About the position:

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Accounting team. As a key member of our Accounting team, you’ll be focusing on reviewing and booking bank and credit card transactions, and providing support with billing duties.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with utilizing Quickbooks, Bill.com, PayPal, Ramp, Brex, and Google Sheets.

What you’ll do:

Assist with preparation of journal entries, assist with month-end close in a timely manner;
Maintain day-to-day financial records including daily AP and cash transactions;
Provide support with AR collection and billing duties;
Assist in the preparation of monthly financials and reconciliations;
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities, most specifically by assisting in the conduction of a monthly Cost of Goods Sold and Revenue reconciliation to ensure client billing and vendor payments are accurate;
Serve as a financial liaison between the various company departments;
Review and accept daily bank and credit card transactions
Assist team in maintaining an organized workflow to meet reporting deadlines and obligations;
Assist the VP of Finance
Assist with creation vendor payment runs;
Perform ad hoc duties as requested;

What you should have:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required;
1-3 years of relevant work experience;
Good knowledge of US GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting applications;
Strong analytical and quantitative skills;
Experience in using Google Drive
Great attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Should be a self-starter who possesses an ability to act and operate independently;
Experience with Quickbooks Online preferred, bill.com experience is a plus;
Understanding of content marketing terminology and ideology;
Knowledge of VAT.
