Full Job Description

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time(Mon-Fri Days) IT Service Desk Technician I to work remotely from home. Qualified candidates will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented member of our our IT team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining and optimizing our organization's computer systems, networks, and servers. This role will provide essential support to ensure the efficient and secure operation of our IT infrastructure. Advantage Surgical and Wound Care heals wounds and treats surgical conditions in the post-acute environment through conservative, evidence-based care. We limit unnecessary and expensive treatments, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations. We achieve optimal outcomes by coordination, collaboration, and education with patients, their caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
Assist in managing and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Help maintain network security protocols and access controls.
Collaborate with senior administrators to optimize network performance and reliability.
Provide technical support to end-users by troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
Assist in setting up and configuring user accounts, email, and access permissions.
Operate as IT helpdesk to resolve user issues in a timely manner.
Assist in implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Perform routine data backups and ensure data integrity.
Participate in disaster recovery drills and testing.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Prepare reports on system performance and incident resolutions.
Assist in implementing and enforcing security policies and protocols.•
Monitor system logs for security breaches and unauthorized access.
Participate in security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology solutions that support business objectives.
Assist in evaluating and recommending IT hardware and software purchases.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Strong understanding of computer systems, networking, and IT infrastructure.
Familiarity with Windows and iOS/MacOS operating systems.
Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Associate) is a plus.

Physical, Environmental and Mental Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy IT equipment (Average 30 lbs.).
Ability to crawl, kneel, stoop and reach while installing equipment and configuring workstations.
Frequent walking and standing.
Ability to sit upright for long hours.
Works well under pressure due to time and accuracy requirements.
Periodic travel to other company locations. Parking and miles are compensated. – good driving record a must.
