Full Job Description

Overview

Odylia Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated Scientist or Research Program Manager (with a science training background) to join the Brydge Solutions team and help advance therapies for rare diseases. This role will support innovative therapeutic programs by combining scientific insight, translational research coordination, and cross-functional project execution. The ideal candidate is collaborative, self-driven, scientifically rigorous, and passionate about accelerating treatments for under-served patient communities. This position will support Odylia’s partnership with Save Sight Now and contribute to a rapidly advancing portfolio of genetic medicine programs as a member of the Odylia Team.

This is an opportunity to lead complex research initiatives and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The Research Program Manager will help drive program strategy, design experiments and interpret findings, manage timelines and priorities, communicate with various stakeholders, and support the successful advancement of cutting-edge genetic technologies. Key Responsibilities

Develop, plan, and oversee comprehensive research programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and scientific standards
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders (e.g., academic collaborators, CROs, and industry partners) to drive program progress and ensure clear communication
Track and manage program performance, proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategies
Oversee data collection processes, analyze research findings, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders and publication purposes
Lead planning and execution of cross-functional research programs, ensuring alignment with scientific and organizational goals
Translate scientific strategy into actionable program plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables across preclinical and translational efforts
Synthesize and communicate complex scientific data into clear updates for internal leadership and external partners and work closely with patients and families
Monitor scientific and industry trends to inform program direction and identify opportunities for innovation in rare disease therapeutics

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. (or M.S. with significant experience) in a relevant field (e.g., molecular biology, pharmacology, genetics, biochemistry, or related discipline)
Strong background in translational or preclinical research, as well as expertise in molecular and cell biology in the context of drug development
Strong knowledge of data collection methods, research methodologies, and laboratory procedures
Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, priorities, and competing demands
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment across teams
Self-motivated, independent thinker that can self-direct in a virtual work environment with frequent multi-stakeholder meetings

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in vision loss, rare disease research, and/or genetic technologies
Familiarity with IND-enabling studies and regulatory requirements
Experience working with external collaborators
Knowledge of gene therapy, RNA-based therapeutics, or small molecule development
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects or programs in a scientific or biotech setting
A passion to change the future for patients of rare diseases
Experience with scientific and/or medical writing
