Full Job Description

Job Overview

A rapidly growing, modern New York personal injury law firm seeks an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to manage a robust caseload from inception to resolution. This is a 100% remote position. You will work closely in a dedicated team structure with an assigned paralegal to advance cases efficiently, maximize recovery, and deliver excellent client service. In addition to a strong base salary, this position features lucrative financial incentives, including a direct percentage of attorney fees on resolved cases and compelling fee-sharing splits on all originated client referrals.

Duties

Full Case Management: Lead and manage personal injury litigation files from initial intake/inception through final settlement, arbitration, or resolution.
Team Collaboration: Work in tandem with an experienced paralegal to manage file progression, delegate administrative tasks, handle critical calendaring, and track case statuses via NYSCEF to hit all legal milestones. Strategically manage files to resolve issues early and avoid unnecessary in-person court appearances.
Discovery & Pleadings: Conduct thorough reviews of summons and complaints, discovery demands, responses, and medical records; draft and finalize critical motions, pleadings, and CC orders.
Virtual Appearances: Conduct all virtual court appearances.
Depositions & Alternative Dispute Resolution: Independently conduct and defend virtual depositions, represent clients in virtual arbitrations and mediations, and aggressively negotiate settlements.

Experience

Juris Doctor (J.D.): Degree from an accredited law school.
Bar Admission: Active, good-standing admission to the New York State Bar is strictly required.
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated NYS personal injury litigation experience, including direct experience with New York State trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
Tech Savviness: Strong proficiency with secure video conferencing tools (Zoom/Teams) and cloud-based case management software (e.g., Litify, SmartAdvocate).
Nice-to-Have: Active admission to New York Federal Courts, a proven track record in the NYS Court of Appeals, and/or bar admissions in other jurisdictions are highly advantageous.
