The Opportunity

As the Claim Support Specialist you are technically the “assistant manager” of a team. You’re reviewing the work of the Claims Managers. Making sure they are processing things appropriately. They’ll run team huddles and manage the team if the Unit Leader is out of the office. You will review work and give feedback on performance and help develop efficiencies within the team.

Key Responsibilities

Expert knowledge of systems and tools, including MDG, DPA, Catalyst, and Intellis, and how to leverage them to improve claim management effectiveness.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to coach Case Specialists to interview claimants dynamically with the goal of setting claimant expectations and obtaining information necessary to administer the claim.

Required Qualifications

1 year of experience in the role of an Absence Claim Specialist
Strong communication skills, including the ability to coach Case Specialists to interview claimants dynamically with the goal of setting claimant expectations and obtaining information necessary to administer the claim.

Preferred Qualifications

A comprehensive understanding of Absence Management contractual provisions.
Ability to give and receive feedback using specific measurements and observed behaviors.
Basic knowledge of medical conditions, treatments, and prognosis.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills.

The expected salary range for this position is $41,600 - $80,169. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
