Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Infusion Patient Access Supervisor specializing in Medical Billing and Coding to lead our patient access team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire revenue cycle process related to infusion therapy services, ensuring accurate billing, coding, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Your leadership will drive efficiency in patient registration, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and claims submission, all while maintaining exceptional service standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the financial health of our organization while supporting patient care excellence.

Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor the patient access team to ensure accurate and timely completion of billing and coding tasks.
Oversee the verification of patient insurance coverage, including health insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare regulations compliance.
Ensure adherence to all healthcare billing management standards, including ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding and medical coding best practices.
Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to facilitate seamless documentation and billing processes.
Collaborate with hospital revenue cycle management teams to optimize revenue collection and minimize denials or delays.
Maintain compliance with all relevant medical billing regulations, including third-party insurance billing requirements.
Monitor team performance metrics, provide ongoing training on healthcare billing management, and implement process improvements as needed.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of medical billing regulations compliance across multiple payers including Medicare and Medicaid.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes.
Experience with billing software systems used in healthcare settings.
Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle management processes from patient registration through final payment.
Expertise in health insurance policies, including third-party payers and insurance claim procedures.
Skilled in healthcare billing management, electronic health records (EHR) management, and medical coding—particularly ICD coding standards.
Proven ability to lead teams effectively within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
