About MTV Coaching

MTV Coaching helps Director- and VP-level executives land their dream role in 90 days or less — not by sending another resume into the job board void, but by teaching them how to access the hidden job market, the 80% of executive roles that never get posted at all.

Founded by Michelle Perchuk, an 18+ year talent acquisition insider who has placed and coached over 3,000 professionals for companies like Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Credit Suisse, and Stanford University, MTV Coaching is not a resume-polishing service. It's a system built by someone who watched the hiring machine from the inside and got tired of watching qualified people lose to closed rooms.

We're selective. We accept roughly 30% of applicants into the program, because the system only works for people who are serious, qualified, and ready to do the work. That selectivity starts with you — every call you book is a call our enrollment team should be excited to take.

The Role

We're hiring an Appointment Setter to work our leads and past-consultation lists — the professionals who raised their hand, took a first call, and for whatever reason didn't move forward. Your job is to get them back on the phone, understand exactly why they haven't landed a job in the last 60 days, and connect them to that pain clearly enough that booking a call with Coach Michelle's team feels like the obvious next move.

This isn't cold, transactional dial-and-pitch work. Every person on your list has already raised their hand once. They've already had a taste of what this could look like. Your job is to reopen that door with warmth and curiosity, ask the questions that get past "still looking, nothing yet" to the real story underneath, and hand off a genuinely pre-qualified, primed prospect to the calendar.

If you're a natural at getting people to open up on the phone, if you know how to ask "why" three times without sounding like an interrogation, and if you find real satisfaction in booking a call that's actually worth someone's time — this is your seat.

This is a part-time, remote position — a great fit if you're looking for consistent part-time hours you can build a calling routine around, without needing this to be your only source of income.

What You'll Do

Call warm leads and past-consultation prospects — people who've previously engaged but haven't enrolled — and re-open the conversation
Ask why they haven't landed a role in the last 60 days, and keep digging past the surface answer ("just busy," "still applying") to the real pain: the plan that isn't working, the interviews that go nowhere, the fear they haven't said out loud
Build genuine rapport quickly — accomplished professionals can tell in seconds whether they're talking to someone who's actually listening or just working a script
Qualify every prospect before booking — confirm they're serious about their job search, have the seniority and income level we serve, and are open to investing in a real solution
Connect the dots between their stated pain and the assessment call so the prospect books because they see the value, not because they were talked into it
Book qualified calls directly onto Coach Michelle's (or the enrollment team's) calendar, with accurate notes on each prospect's situation so the enrollment call starts warm, not cold
Log every call outcome and detail — pain points, objections, reason for the gap since their last conversation — so nothing is lost between your call and the enrollment call
Follow a defined outreach cadence across calls, texts, and follow-ups for leads who don't answer or need more time
Protect calendar quality over calendar quantity — a half-qualified booking wastes everyone's time; you'd rather make one more call than book one weak appointment
Report booking and qualification metrics back to Coach Michelle to help refine scripts and targeting over time

What You Bring

Proven experience as an appointment setter, SDR, or qualifier for high-ticket coaching, consulting, or professional services — you understand the difference between booking a call and booking the right call
A track record of strong show-up and close-through rates on the calls you've booked — your bookings actually convert downstream, not just fill a calendar
Natural, warm phone rapport with professional, accomplished prospects — you can make a Director or VP feel heard within the first minute
Skilled, curious questioning — you know how to ask "why didn't this work" in a way that opens someone up instead of putting them on the defensive
Comfort connecting pain to next steps — you can name what someone is feeling and tie it directly to the value of getting on the calendar, without pressure or hype
Meticulous attention to detail — accurate call notes, reliable follow-through, every prospect's context captured for the next conversation
Resilience and consistency — this is a high-volume outreach role; you stay warm and genuine on call 40 the same way you were on call 1
Alignment with our values — we never guarantee outcomes we can't deliver, we never shame a prospect for a job search that hasn't worked yet, and we never book a call just to hit a number

Bonus points for:

Background in recruiting, HR, career coaching, or talent acquisition
Experience qualifying or setting appointments for an executive or high-earning audience specifically
Familiarity with CRM, dialer, and calendar-booking tools

What Success Looks Like

You book 4 consultations a day. Ninety days in, your calendar bookings are consistently converting into enrollments at or above target, your call notes are detailed enough that the enrollment team never has to ask a prospect to repeat themselves, and Coach Michelle trusts every appointment on her calendar because you put it there. You recieve a bonus for every person who enrolls into the program.
