Summary: The Associate Research Scientist (ARS)/Research Scientist (RS) will serve as a member of the Real World Evidence (RWE) team and support the design, analysis, interpretation, and communication of real world evidence research studies under the direction of the Director, RWE. This position will contribute to scientific and analytical activities including literature reviews, protocol and study documentation development, statistical programming, data analysis, statistical output review, scientific communications, and publication development under the guidance of senior scientific and statistical staff. This position is intended for an early-career researcher or analytically oriented professional who is developing expertise in real world evidence, healthcare data, research methodology, scientific communications, and analytical methods.
Work is performed under the general direction of the Director, RWE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Support the design, execution, analysis, interpretation, and communication of high-quality, scientifically and clinically rigorous RWE studies under the guidance of senior scientific and statistical staff.
· Conduct background research, including literature reviews, evidence synthesis, and feasibility assessments, to inform research questions, study design, data source selection, and analytical planning.
· Contribute to the design of RWE studies, including development of research objectives, study populations, endpoints, and methodological approaches.
· Draft and revise study protocols, statistical analysis plans, table shells, study reports, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, presentation materials, and other scientific and analytical deliverables.
· Review healthcare data sources, data extraction specifications, and analysis datasets to assess data structure, completeness, fitness for purpose, and alignment with study specifications.
· Execute validated statistical programs and analyses using established specifications and approved analytical methods.
· Review analytical outputs (e.g., tables, listings, figures) and scientific deliverables for accuracy, consistency across study documents, completeness, and overall scientific and professional quality.
· Interpret study findings in collaboration with scientific, statistical, and clinical staff and contribute to the development of scientifically sound conclusions.
· Collaborate with scientific, statistical, clinical, project management, and other colleagues regarding research design, methodology, analytics, deliverables, and timelines.
· Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, guidance documents, templates, work instructions, and analytical standards.
· Manage assigned research activities across multiple projects, communicating progress, risks, and dependencies to support timely delivery.

· Master's degree or PhD in Economics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Public Health, Biostatistics, Outcomes Research, Data Science, or a related field.
· Two to three years of relevant academic, industry, or research experience; relevant graduate-level research experience may be considered.
· Basic understanding of RWE generation using healthcare data such as claims data, electronic medical records (EMR) data, registry data, patient-reported outcomes data, or other healthcare data sources; experience with human-curated EMR data is a plus.
· Foundational knowledge of HEOR and RWE methodologies, including epidemiology, health economics, observational research, and outcomes research.
· Experience supporting research projects, literature reviews, healthcare data review, scientific writing, data analysis, or development of scientific deliverables.
· Experience with or interest in developing research publications, conference abstracts, posters, manuscripts, study reports, and other scientific communications.
· Experience with statistical programming or analytical tools such as SAS, R, SQL, or Python required.
· Experience executing statistical programs, reviewing analytical outputs, performing data quality review activities, or supporting statistical analyses through academic, industry, or research experience.

In addition to those already addressed, an individual should have strong computer skills including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email, literature search, collaboration, and project documentation software. Familiarity with statistical programming, analytical software, or data visualization tools is required.
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate scientific and technical information in English, including scientific publications, study materials, technical reports, analytical documentation, and procedure manuals. Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and scientific deliverables and present information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
In addition to those already addressed, an individual should have the ability to review, understand, and interpret statistical output derived from analyses of real world data. Ability to apply basic statistical and analytical concepts to support research activities, data review, quality control, and interpretation of study findings.
Ability to apply analytical thinking, scientific reasoning, and sound judgment to execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to evaluate information, identify potential issues, and contribute to the resolution of problems involving multiple variables in research and analytical settings.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
