Position Overview
The Pilates Teaching Support Specialist is a full-time, hourly role focused on providing hands-on, boots-on-the-ground support for new Pilates Addiction studio openings. This position travels to new markets to coach Educators, support studio teams, evaluate teaching readiness, and help ensure each new studio opens with confidence, consistency, and strong brand alignment.
This role serves as a bridge between Pilates Addiction Movement Academy, in-person training, and the live studio environment. The Traveling Educator Training Specialist helps Educators in Training and newly certified Educators transition onto the teaching floor through practical coaching, real-time feedback, class evaluations, and opening support.
Candidates may be hired from within the current Pilates Addiction Educator pool or from outside the organization. Previous Pilates teaching experience is required, and prior Master Trainer, Lead Instructor, Teacher Trainer, or comparable educator leadership experience is preferred.
Candidates who are not already certified Pilates Addiction Educators must complete Pilates Addiction Movement Academy, gain in-studio teaching experience, and complete training in Pilates Addiction’s evaluation, coaching, and feedback process before independently supporting openings, audits, or evaluations.
This position is governed by the signed employment agreement between the employee and the franchisor, including terms around compensation, confidentiality, at-will status, and eligibility for benefits.
Core Responsibilities
Travel to new Pilates Addiction markets to provide in-person education and launch support during the critical opening period.
Responsibilities include:

Serve as boots-on-the-ground education support for new studio openings.

Support local studio teams through Friends & Family classes, practice teaching, test-outs, preview classes, and soft-opening periods.

Coordinate with local studio owners and managers before arrival to confirm schedules, educator assignments, evaluation needs, and opening support priorities.

Help establish a professional, organized, brand-aligned, and encouraging opening environment.

Communicate opening needs, risks, progress, and recommended next steps to the Training & Education team.
2. Coach & Develop Educators
Coach Educators in Training and newly certified Educators as they transition from training into live client-facing classes.
Responsibilities include:

Provide real-time coaching on class flow, cueing, transitions, safety, setup, pacing, modifications, and room management.

Help Educators move from memorized content into confident, responsive, client-centered teaching.
-
Reinforce Pilates Addiction teaching standards, brand voice, class structure, client experience priorities, and use of the Aurum Reformer™.
-
Provide feedback that is clear, supportive, specific, and aligned with Pilates Addiction standards.
-
Support Educators who need additional practice, mentorship, or follow-up before teaching independently.
3. Evaluate Classes, Test-Outs & Teaching Readiness
Observe and evaluate Educators using the Pilates Addiction Evaluation Guide.
Responsibilities include:

Observe Friends & Family classes, practice classes, staff classes, and test-outs.
-
Evaluate Educators in areas including safety, setup, cueing, flow, transitions, modifications, class management, professionalism, and brand alignment.

Complete required evaluation forms, audit forms, notes, and post-support documentation accurately and on time.
-
Make recommendations for certification readiness, additional practice, mentoring, or re-evaluation.

Escalate concerns to the Vice President of Educator Training & Operations or assigned Training & Education leader when needed.
4. Lead Staff Classes & Model the Method
Lead classes for local studio staff members to model the Pilates Addiction method and align the team around the client experience.
Responsibilities include:

Teach staff classes or demonstration classes as assigned.

Model effective class flow, cueing, transitions, spring changes, prop usage, modifications, and challenge options.
-
Demonstrate how to deliver classes that are safe, clear, intelligent, energetic, and brand-aligned.
-
Use staff classes as an opportunity to answer questions, reinforce expectations, and support team readiness.
5. Assess Studio & Equipment Readiness
Assess the studio environment and equipment from an education, safety, and client experience perspective.
Responsibilities include:

Review Aurum Reformer™ setup, props, straps, loops, springs, jump boards, chair components, and other tools needed for class execution.

Identify missing items, setup inconsistencies, safety issues, or equipment concerns.
-
Communicate QC concerns to the appropriate internal team members and local studio leadership.
-
Help ensure Educators understand safe setup, equipment use, client positioning, transitions, and modifications.
6. Provide Virtual Audits & Follow-Up Support
Support Educators and studio teams remotely when not traveling.
Responsibilities include:

Conduct virtual audits, test-outs, mentoring sessions, or practice evaluations via Zoom or video submission.

Observe live or recorded classes and provide feedback based on Pilates Addiction standards.

Support new Educators during their first weeks or months on the teaching floor.

Complete required documentation and communicate progress, concerns, and next steps to the Training & Education team.
7. Manage Travel, Communication & Administration
Manage assigned travel, communication, documentation, and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:

Book and manage personal travel arrangements in accordance with company policies and approved budgets.
-
Coordinate travel timing, arrival details, hotel, ground transportation, and availability with internal and local studio teams.

Submit receipts, expense reports, time tracking, evaluation forms, post-opening summaries, and other documentation accurately and on time.

Attend training-related meetings as assigned.
-
Communicate professionally with Educators, EITs, studio owners, studio managers, and internal team members.
-
Provide feedback to the Training & Education team on recurring educator challenges, curriculum gaps, studio needs, or opening support opportunities.
Required Training & Development
Candidates who are not already certified Pilates Addiction Educators must complete the following before independently evaluating, coaching, or supporting new Educators:

Complete Pilates Addiction Movement Academy.

Complete all required online coursework, assessments, and in-person training requirements.
-
Gain in-studio teaching experience in a Pilates Addiction studio or approved training environment.
-
Demonstrate the ability to teach Pilates Addiction classes with safety, clarity, flow, confidence, and brand alignment.

Complete training on Pilates Addiction’s Evaluation Guide, feedback process, coaching standards, and opening support expectations.
-
Complete any required mentorship, audit, or opening support shadowing.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:

Previous Pilates teaching experience.
-
Prior Master Trainer, Lead Instructor, Teacher Trainer, Mentor Instructor, or comparable education leadership experience.

Strong understanding of Pilates principles, movement mechanics, class programming, modifications, and client safety.

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop other instructors or team members.

Strong teaching presence and ability to model professional, confident, client-centered instruction.

Willingness to complete Pilates Addiction Movement Academy if not already certified through Pilates Addiction.

Willingness to learn and apply Pilates Addiction’s methodology, class flow, cueing expectations, modification strategies, safety standards, and use of the Aurum Reformer™.

Ability to provide clear, supportive, standards-based feedback.

Preferred qualifications:

Current Pilates Addiction certification.
-
Prior experience supporting studio openings, instructor onboarding, training weekends, or launch teams.

Experience evaluating instructors or leading test-outs.
-
Experience teaching group apparatus Pilates.
-
Experience teaching on or adapting to proprietary Pilates equipment.
-
Experience with virtual coaching, audits, or instructor development.

Familiarity with LMS platforms, Zoom, shared documents, and evaluation tools.
Job Requirements / Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:

Physically demonstrate Pilates Addiction movements, setups, transitions, and modifications on the Aurum Reformer™ and related studio equipment.
-
Safely move around the studio floor, including bending, kneeling, squatting, standing, stepping onto and off of equipment, and moving between machines.
-
Teach, demonstrate, observe, coach, and support classes for extended periods of time.
-
Assist with demonstrations, setup support, and movement corrections as appropriate and within Pilates Addiction guidelines.

Lift, carry, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds as needed, including props, equipment components, retail items, training materials, or studio setup supplies.

Travel frequently to new or existing Pilates Addiction markets as assigned, including air travel, ground transportation, hotel stays, and multi-day studio support assignments.

Work flexible hours based on training, opening, test-out, or studio support needs, which may include weekends, early mornings, evenings, or travel days.

Use a computer, tablet, phone, Zoom, LMS platforms, email, shared documents, and evaluation tools.

Maintain reliable access to internet and video conferencing capabilities for virtual audits, test-outs, mentorship, and meetings.

Follow Pilates Addiction safety standards, confidentiality expectations, documentation procedures, travel policies, expense policies, and work approval processes.
